Kommah Seray Inflammatory Breast Cancer Foundation (KSIBCF) - Helping one cancer patient at a time...
Testimonials

Thank you so very much today for your phone call and such encouraging words...What a blessing. I appreciate so much for all the resources that you have provided and will venture down each and every avenue to help my sister (Deborah Howard).

I spoke with the doctor this evening and she believes that my sister's liver is involved. I know that God has the final say in everything and that is what I am going to base my sister's prognosis on! God has over and over given us so many miracles and we will rejoice in his name when he gives us another on...In order to have a miracle there has to be a need...God knows our need.

Once again thanking you for contacting me...It meant so much to me.
Tender thoughts and smiles across the miles.

Like most of us, my battle with breast cancer began before I even realized I was in a fight. Once it's detected, there's hardly any time to review options, gather information and seek out resources. I am so glad you and KSIBCF has been here with information, prayer, and financial support during a challenging time. May God continue to bless your organization & you.

“God Bless you and your staff for remembering me this year and supporting me. Cancer is hard enough to fight, but everyday necessities are a real worry.  You have been there to help with gas and food – I cannot thank you enough.  Because of you, I had a good Thanksgiving.  I love you all and best of wishes, God Bless & Good health for all.”
Lots of love, S. ALLAN  - Breast Cancer

Dionne Haines was the first client KSIBCF assisted on December 23, 2007.  She was a mother of two children under the age of 18, had been battling breast cancer on and off since 2004, and had exhausted her life’s savings trying to provide for her family.    On November 7, 2008, Dionne ended her battle with cancer and went home to glory.  She was KSIBCF’s first inspiration and will forever be remembered.

“[Kommah], I would like to say THANK YOU… for all of your hard work at organizing this Breast Cancer Survivors Conference.  All of the speaker content built on the previous speaker's presentation.  This, I think really facilitated the learners acquisition of the information.  This attests to your organizational abilities. The participants asked great questions!!!  It was a privilege to be part of this conference.”

“I just want to thank you both for reaching out to my mother's friend Cynthia Amey during the latter stages of her battle with breast cancer. You may already know that she passed on over to be with the Lord [June 4, 2008]… Your help and resources were definitely appreciated by Cynthia, my mom, and me.  Koko continue helping others through your foundation, I know there are still many women who are still fighting the disease everyday who need someone to talk too and get information from.”

"Parri S. Womack, a fifty (50) year old working, divorced, African American mother in Lawrenceville, Georgia, was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), Stage III on November 3, 2008, by a doctor who was getting ready to do a biopsy. Her left breast was large, round, red and at times very warm.  The radiology doctor took one look at her breast and realized that it was IBC before he performed the test but did not realize it was Stage IV before test results were confirmed. The cancer was also located in her lungs. She was being treated by her OB/GYN doctor for a so called infection.  The following  week she had a port, chemo and numerous tests along with an oncologist telling her that he would do all he could to help her reach her goals and keep her comfortable.  Parri ask her doctor how much time she had. The doctor told Parri and her sister, who had come from Virginia to be with her, that he did not like to set a timeline but he would like for her to set her first goal.  Parri’s first goal and main goal was to see her son, who was a senior at Xavier University in Ohio on a Cross Country/Track Scholarship, graduate on May 16, 2009. Clinton, Parri’s son, was the joy of her life.

Parri knew that this was going to be very expensive. She had a $1500 deductible, $50 co pay for office visits, and she knew that she had no other financial support. In March, Parri began to have more excruciating pain in her left arm, she was sent for bone scan and MRI which determined that the cancer had invaded the humorous bone. Surgery was performed and rod inserted in the bone.   Parri worked until April 6, 2009, when her oncologist told her that she needed to alleviate the stress in her life.  Parri’s last check was received the end of April and her insurance would expire the end of July. This brought about more stress.  She had saved enough to handle 2 months of bills and with the assistance from Kommah Seray IBC Foundation she was able to stretch this a little further and get an airline ticket to her son’s graduation, May 16 for college in Ohio.  This was a very happy day for Parri. She was on pain medication had to call doctor to get her more pain medication to make the trip back to Georgia via auto.  On May 22nd Parri had a mastectomy/trans-flap and further surgery on June 17th   to no avail.   Cancer was continually spreading and chemo was not working.  Parri felt that God had allowed her to achieve her goal and now she was in now in even greater pain and discomfort.  She was now ready for hospice.  Parri entered hospice on July 21st and went on to heavenly peace on July 24. Parri grew up in Springfield, Ohio, graduated from Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Political Science and attended University of Denver Law School, Denver, Colorado.
It was such a blessing for Parri and her family to know that there are agencies such as Kommah Seray IBC Foundation to assist those in need of assistance, prayer and understanding.  Parri, her family and friends we so impressed with the Kommah Seray IBC Foundation that we are trying to spread the word about Inflammatory Breast Cancer. There is such a need for doctor and patient education. Thank you so much for caring.
Cancer does not care who you are or what you have attained, it will attack and remove it all."

"Thank you so very much for the Arco gas cards; I received them yesterday.  They came at such a perfect time.

I am so very grateful for organizations like yours who has extended a hand to help me during this very crucial time in my life.  You were so pleasant and helpful on the phone.  I shared with others regarding the ease and comfort level that I experienced.  It's good to know that there are still good people out there that's not just providing a service but doing it with a caring heart.  May the Lord bless you for your kindness and generosity.  God is good!"

"I just wanted to say Thank You for the Walmart gift card and the gas cards. They were a blessing. I needed the gas to get back and forth to radiation every day and the gift card to buy cleaning supplies. The last 9 months have been very hard on me and my children but Thank God for your organization. Everywhere else that I turned, they refused me because I didnt have any income. If I had income then I wouldnt be needing assistance. Your organization did not stress me out nor refuse me. God is in the healing business and he is always blessing us. I hope that he extend extra extra to you for all the help that you are doing for others. When I get back to work I plan to help others that are in need as well. Thanks for everything."

"My name is Marlene Barnes. I am a seven year breast cancer survivor. I have learned over the years that the word 'cancer' is not a death sentence. I said to myself, I have cancer, cancer does not have me. I lived through the pain, the emotional roller coaster and the ever ending mental anguish of this life changing event. I survived this bout. We live in a world of uncertainty and never know when our next trial will present itself. I keep in the mind the words of Abraham Lincoln: "In this sad world of ours, sorrow comes to all, and it often comes with bitter agony. Perfect relief is not possible, except with time. You cannot now believe that you will ever feel better. But this is not true. You are sure to be happy again. Knowing this, truly believing it, will make you less miserable now. I have had enough experience to make this statement." With all this said, I am the surviving aunt of Zazette Scott, your survivor of the year for 2009-2010. Dedicated to my niece."
